Our Advice.

We want to make sure you’re happy with your prints. The following advice will help to achieve perfect results every time.

Cropping

The majority of photos taken on a mobile device are taken in portrait whereas the majority of photo prints are printed in landscape. In order to optimise your photos for printing you can rotate your photo from portrait to landscape before printing.

Trimming & Bleed

Please be aware that we trim your photos after printing. It’s called bleed and means you will lose a very small part of your print on all four edges - typically around 1-2mm. This may not sound much but we suggest that you crop your photo to avoid having any important body part or text close to the edge of your print which may be unintentionally cut off. An alternative is to add a white border to your print, that way none of your photo will be cut off during trimming.

Brightness

When you view a photo on a phone, tablet or computer the brightness setting may mean it appears brighter than it really is. We don’t artificially brighten your photos before printing and therefore you should check the true brightness of your photo before printing it out.

Preview

We give you the opportunity to preview every print before we print your photo. It’s important to use this opportunity to check your purchase as we cannot offer returns or refunds for dark or poorly cropped photos. Please remember that you may be viewing your print on a small screen but printing it many times bigger and this may have an impact on the crispness of your print. Please check that your

photo is suitable for printing at the print size you have selected.

If I could give this company more than 5 stars, ⭐️ I would. Top service! I had 260 photographs done for my sisters upcoming wedding and I was a little worried about how the design would come out. I hoped for the best! However, I got a unprompted, friendly phone call from one of the members at PostSnap and he went through every detail, whilst also offering expert advice. Can I print my Instagram photos as Classic Prints?:

Yep! Instagram photos work great for the square sizes up to 5x5” but their resolution tends to be too low for the 8x8” and 11x11” square prints, so steer away from larger print sizes.

How do I know if my photo will print well?

Our uploader tool won’t let you upload photos that are too small for a particular print size, but it is unable to tell if a photo is blurry, pixelated, or taken in low light. These are all factors that can cause a correctly sized photo to not print as well. A good way to tell if your photo will print clearly on a larger scale is to check the resolution. We print at 300 dpi and photos at or near this resolution will print best. If you are still nervous, you can perform what we call the "zoom test" on your image prior to upload. Open up your photo on your computer's photo viewer, and zoom in a little bit. If you are seeing pixelation when you zoom, this will also show up in print. As a general rule, we recommend printing photos that are taken in natural light. Indoor photos at low light can look fuzzy. A Note on Cropping for Full Bleed Prints:

Due to the nature of full bleed printing and trimming, we recommend keeping all important
subjects at least 0.25” from the edge of your print shown on the cropping menu or print preview. Full bleed prints can be cropped up to an
additional 0.25” from this preview so we recommend keeping all vital limbs, heads, and text away from these crop lines.
